The Dead Can Dance.

A message I keep hearing this week. Thought I'd start there. I sure hope so. My dad won jitterbug trophies & was on Bandstand.

He LOVED to dance. He taught me how. I need to dance more.

If you're new here or ever wondered, I've not seen ghosts since I was a child. My childhood was spent in survival mode as I was the constant target of ridicule and bullies.

My life was altered when I stopped breathing during a routine procedure in 2001. I didn't see a light or a tunnel, or loved ones. Which is a bummer because my grandmother had just passed. I did however wake up wondering why my throat and chest burned so badly when surgery was below my belly button. I've spent years coming to terms with the aftermath, meaning - all of my senses turned all the way on. The agony and irony of working in radio then becoming one.

These are the jokes. At first, I saw the dead as if you were standing next to or across from me, in the physical realm. I didn't know they were dead because unlike TV, they weren't gruesome or showing signs of a tragic ending. They were just regular people speaking to me and then, poof! They'd vanish. This sudden phenomenon left me questioning my mental state. It also made me hit the bottle way hard to wash it away. Here we are 25 years later (and over 575 days dealcoholized)

I've fine tuned my hyperactive senses to receive messages more subtly. No more vanishing people but more like, pictures in my third eye, words, short phrases, symbols, feelings and or sensations in my body. Recently it's been music and quite a bit of pop culture references.

There have been times when I fought my 'gift' and called it a curse, being overwhelmed by too much attention from the living that I as a person with ADHD, autoimmune disfunction and a degenerative joint disease I just want to be quiet and isolate. All this and the massive energy of spirit takes a toll. Here's somethings I know: I don't Long Island Medium my gift. Meaning, I'm not walking around looking to out anyones grief/ trauma in public. I'm also not giving away my gift to any rando who comes in contact with me. And I hate to say this but internet access does not make us "friends". Just because you can see me and press a button doesn't mean I don't have boundaries. I also know that if someone has just passed on in your life, you should do both of you the honor and sacred service of grieving them any way that feels appropriate to you. And asking for help doesn't mean there's something wrong with you. Grief is heavy and life altering. Mediums aren't a fix to your feelings. But we can help you shift some of them. Finally, energy created can never be destroyed and that's just science. Do with that info what you will.

I hope you're well and thank you for being here. Now booking one on one sessions for October/November. And I have Witches Weekend (10/30-11/1) details coming out this week with a huge announcement. All my love, Michelle
